Kwanzaa Program:
The Elmira/Corning Branch of the NAACP and the
Alliance of Interdenominational Ministers (AIM) presented a
Kwanzaa Celebration. The Theme for this year was
“Kwanzaa – A Season of Celebration, Meditation and
Recommitment”. Our guest speaker was Reverend James
E. Jones, the Pastor of Monumental Baptist Church, who
addressed the seven Kwanzaa Principles. The candle
lighting ceremony was done by area youth.
