Scholarship Program
The Scholarship Program is intended to provide financial assistance to deserving students. The process of receiving financial assistance from the Local Branch requires that students are nominated using appropriate forms, enclosing a short essay highlighting “Why they should receive the NAACP Service Scholarship, recommendations fro their teachers and others, and a copy of their transcript that is sent to the Local Branch by April 30, 2007. All forms should be received by this date or postmarked by this date to have their applications considered for recommendation of receiving a scholarship.Those forms can be downloaded from here:

The applicant needs to understand the NAACP Service Scholarship purpose and criteria and fill out the information about their biography, and have a school official to fill out the recommendation form.
